hmmmmmmmmm, may I ask y ur not on a med to help reduce the acid?.....I know it can take awhile to be effective, but they do help.
It is possible that there is more in ur diet affecting u than u know...I know I have things I eat...that I really shouldn't....but I am cutting back..and I am on meds.
I know what affects me also, but it is funny how things I never thought affected me really do.....just a thought.

I'm currently not on any meds. I don't keep a journal because I have a general idea of what to stay away from (like orange soda makes me really sick and coffee makes me gag).
I'm a really big hot sauce fan so yeah I'd really love to be able to eat some tobasco sauce again without having to go through all the chest pain.
Honestly I can't name anything that would be affecting my diet at the moment =/
What meds are u onat present?
If u do not have a hiatal hernia, there must be something else going on that is causing the acid reflux.
Do u keep a journal to see ur triggers be they food or stress??
I can relate to how u feel and during a flare I just want my life back too.
Could there be something in ur diet that is affecting u now??

Nope I dont have a hiatal hernia. My diets been the same for about a year now, I don't like adding new things to it since theres some foods that irritate my stomach pretty badly.
Hi and welcome to the forum.
May I ask if u have a hiatal hernia?.....and what meds are u on?
All of us will have different foods that will affect us- there is a list of safe foods in our Health Pages. Not everyone will be able to eat all foods considered safe...and u may be able to eat foods on a list to avoid. We all have to learn what we can tolerate.
I would suggest u speak with ur dr and re evaluate ur meds.
