Acid reflux nausea related to bowel movements?

Hello, I am a 21 year old female with a history of acid reflux. However, recently I've noticed a link between the reflux and bowel movements. It appears that when I get particulary nauseating acid reflux, I find I need to go the toilet, and only an hour or so after going to the toilet does it then go away. Could you possibly tell me if this is in any way related?
