Bile or Acid Reflux?

I have GERD for about 7 years now. I've tried every PPI on the market and had all tests done. Dr says I have high acid level and my stomach and esophagus is inflamed. For the last week, I have a burning sensation in my abdomen (intestines) and bad heartburn. Also, I have a lot of  phlegm in my throat.

I stopped taking PPI 3 weeks ago (taking it for last 7 years). I take Slippery Elm and Licorice and feel 80 % better. For me, using PPI made my acid reflux worst.

Should I take the vinegar and water right before a meal? Before every meal?i have been having burning and pains in back and chest too and began taking Zantac again ....I was on PPIs three years ago and hate to go back on them because I have osteopenia and they deplete calcium availability to the bones...I even went to the cardiologist and had a stress test because my chest felt prickly and tight...

Maybe that's why I have a lot of heartburn, I might be taking to many PPI and I have no acid to digest my food. Good Point !!
I'm gona try the apple cider vinegar, hydrochloric acid or enzymes.
Thanks for the advice :)

have you tried 1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in an 8 oz. glass of water?     For some people, this cures them and they never get heartburn again.
Some of us have surgery to correct this problem.  I had the TIF twice.  (I fell and broke my ribs and pulled some of the "clips" or "staples" out.)    Try the vinegar first...

Others find that taking hydrochloric acid with Pepsin helps.  Yes, acid to fight acid.  What happens is that we don't make enough acid to digest our food.  So the acid isn't there when the food hits the stomach.   it starts to rot or decay making gases and causing bloating.  The stomach sends out a message "give us acid".  So in rushes the acid, too much, too late.  It fills up the stomach and runs up the esophagus to cause damage.
if we take hydrochloric acid before that first bite, the acid is there to receive the food and it starts the digestion immediately.  Result - no heartburn, gas or bloating.

Hope this info. was helpful to you.

     Enzymes also help.
wishing you the best
