Bloating with GERD

I have been suffering with GERD for the past 6 years. I manage to control it for the most part by taking pantaprozale and trying to watch what I eat. I will be honest in that I don't strictly follow a gerd diet since for the most part I only have symptoms at times.
I am currently under a lot of stress due to the health of my aging mother among other things an I am suffering from the issue that brought me to the doctor year's ago where this was diagnosed.
I get bloated very easily. I can eat a bowl of cereal with a banana and feel like I ate a heavy italian meal. When I first had this I was diagnosed with gerd or IBS.
Anyway this bloating is back.I don't really have pain to speak of or any nausea. I have not vomited nor do I have the urge to do so.

I am wondering if anyone else suffers like this and how they manage it. I know it lasted a while the first time and I cannot remember how long it did. The only bright side was that since I cut back on eating I lost some weight which I could afford to do now.

any help would be appreciated.

Stress can add on to your symptoms. Have you tried eating small means through out the day? Like trying to eat every 3-4 hours
