Chest pains with no other symptons

Hi everyone. I've had chest pains for a couple of weeks now. The pains come on both sides of my chest, right below the breastbone. Sometimes I feel a little pain in my left arm. Also, on occasion, there is a lump in my throat.I haven't even gone to the doctor yet, a silly decision, but I figured it would go away(I do know I have acid reflux, thus I figured it was my diet). The thing I find odd is that there are no other symptons. No nausea, no dizziness, no sweats. I have had a bit of constipation for a while but that's about it.

The pain itself in my chest usually comes the worst on the left side. I guess it can be described as a pinching/squeezing/tightness. I've scanned through every known website on these issues and I'm beginning to think maybe it's just gas. I figured I'd seek one more(or multiple!)opinions before I get it checked, especially if it's a minor issue. Thanks in advance.

Hi...I strongly suggest u see a dr...especially since u also have constipation.Not a good pair to have......it is hard to tell which symptoms r from which condition.

Acid reflux untreated is not a minor issue and can cause perm damage if it is ignored.
Please see ur dr and get on meds to reduce the acid in ur system, it may help ur constipation, but also mention this to ur dr so u r treated for this as well.

I have both Gerd and IBS and it is not a pleasent combo.U add weight, get sluggish....all over not feeling well because of these two.....

Please update after ur dr appt.....

Well I'm on medicine. I have Omeprazole. Just started it though. I was told it could take some time before it starts to work so...

U r correct it does take a hile for the meds to show improvement...what u have is a generic of prilosec and is over the counter meds.

I am also on this and it works great....do not skip a day, or u will notice it.
