Cleanse/detox

Has anyone that suffers with GERD done a cleanse that helPed? If so which and instructions please, if possible.
I have been weaning off of my meds and want to do a cleanse once I am finished to see if that will help me.
Anything to not take meds anymore!

  Have u asked ur Dr about this or discussed getting off the meds?....I agree getting off them can be the best thing, but many times it is best to use the aid of a Dr.....

"selma" offers great advice.  
I'm not a health professional, but how would a 'cleanse' help a GERD issue?  These are apple and orange issues.
Talk to your doctor before weaning off your medications would be my advice.

Yes I have taken them for 3 months - dexilant this time and now Dr says to try going off and see how it goes.
I'd like to do a cleanse and then slowly introduce foods and see if I can eventually drink coffee again without being on meds. I think I might die without coffee!

  First, did ur Dr ever find the root issue of ur GERD?...like a hiatal hernia?

If not, slowly stepping of the meds is difficult enuff as u can suffer from what is called rebound effect...so do not try nething until u have done one successfully and do talk to ur Dr about a safe way to cleanse...as not all are safe.
