Hi ..only ur dr thru an exam can tell u.....and most times u can heal the damage done with diet and medication.

We do have a page in the Health Pages here on Medhelp with a list of foods to avoid and lifestyle tips to help reduce the acids that build up.

Lifestyle tips like not eating 3 to 4 hrs prior to lying down and avoid dairy products to keep the acids from getting past a slow LES...dairy can slow it down and allow this condition to continue.

Also, elevate the head of ur bed....by using blocks under the frame...pillows do not work.

I hope u can get the help u need.
