Domperidone

I was prescribed Domperidone yesterday, I have had chest pain problems for over a year, investigated my heart and docs think heart is ok. The burning in my chest this week was worse than ever, drank gallons of gaviscon to not much avail - I've never quite been able to tell if that stuff helps or not - I mentioned drinking a cold drink helped with the burning as much as anything so doc said he thought domperidone was worth a try, he said it might be something going wrong with peristalsis in my oesophagus and the cold water was shocking it back to normality briefly.

Sounds plausible but wondered if anyone had any opinions or experiences, in particular with the side effects of domperidone.My chest is burning less this morning but biy do I have an upset stomach! diahorrea very bad.
