Excessive Belching

I have had GERD for past 10 years.  The past 4 months I started belching excessively, especially right after meals, or just drinking water.  It has gotten to the point that my chest hurts after belching for almost 2 hours after a meal.  I have developed shortness of breath after exertion, just climbing up stairs, doing daily housework.  Has anyone experienced the same symptoms?

Hi...do u know what the root of ur GERD is?...Sounds like it could be a hiatal hernia which would explain the belching.....

A hiatal hernia will flare in symptoms with ne change in weight...up or down....tight clothes can add to the issues....sleeping with the bed elevated can help.

Have u modified ur diet and lifestyle to aid meds?....which meds r u on?
