Exercise After Lap. Nissen

Exercise After Lap. Nissen

Hi there. I'm 20yrs old and had a laparoscopic nissen about 4weeks ago (on Monday it'll be 5 weeks). I've just started eating soft foods like pastas etc and seem to be healing well with slight pain every now and then. However I've been told conflicting opinions about how long you should remain off sport after having the surgery. Some are saying you should only start exercising after 6 weeks while others are saying that after 2weeks you are fine to start exercising lightly...

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with what they've been told or advise as I'm meant to be going on a sports camp this weekend for a week but am concerned that i shouldn't be yet.

if anyone can help or give any advice PLZ.

thanks.

Be careful.  If the wrap slips you will be out for a good few months.  My surgeon suggested taking it easy for 6 to 8 weeks and the gradually ease into sports.  Do not lift anything heavy.  Again, if the wrap slips....  Be patient.
