Experimental procedure

Patient is a female, white, 72 years old with GERD. Patient has a "lazy' stomach flap that allows stomach acid and other fluids to come back into the mouth. This has increased in frequency as the patient has aged.  No medications or OTC products have been able to resolve the problem. Patient has heard there is a physician in Georgia that has developed a new procedure that uses stapling to help close the flap so she does not have fluid come back up her esophagus. Do you know the name of the procedure or the physician that is performing the procedure ?  Another procedure involves wrapping the stomach around the esophagus, however no further information is available. Any other related information would be appreciated.
