Fosamax side effect

Can prolonged Fosamax use damage the throat lining and if so, what is the treatment?

HI I believe that fosamax is a PPI which after long term use can affect vitamin and mineral absorbtion from natural means as well as suppliments.

Most PPI's help heal the lining of ur esophagus ....ur Dr or pharmacist should be able to help u with this question.

I took Fosamax for only 7 weeks but am having prolonged diarrhea and esophagus problems.  Gas build up is hard to release.  Burps are few and far between causing a build up of pressure in the esophagus.  I, too, am looking for help and guidance.  My doctor has sent me to a GI specialist, but the first appointment I could get is in July.

I saw my Dr. this morning and he would like to start taking fosamax,after reading all the side effects i'm not sure i should. How do you know what you should do
