Fundo & the Flu/H1N1 Flu

by MrsMacDugle, Oct 30, 2009 06:19PM
I've had my Nissen Fundoplacation done back in 2000 due to the fact that my stress levels had gotten so bad that I was throwing upto 300 times a day & if it wasn't coming up it was shooting out.  That was the year that it was determined that I was lactose intolerant again.

But since than I've not been able to throw up or burp don't get me wrong I'm glad for that but now I'm not sure how to tell if I get sick.  I feel nausea most of the time as a result of my IBS that I suffer with along with my chronic pancreatitis.  So is there anyone out there that can assist me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi...not sure how to answer as I  have not had this proceedure.

U can try the swine flu forum and see what teh symptoms r...this way u can keep an eye on things better and mayb speak to ur dr about getting the vaccine.

The best person to ask these questions is ur PCP.

Good luck

Thanks, I'll do that I just had the seasonal flu shot in Oct & the H1N1 flu vaccine wasn't available at that time they said they would have it this Nov around about the 13th or so & would let me know as soon as it was available since I fit the category of those with ailments that require the shot.

Occassionally, depending sometimes I have gotten the flu & other years I've not gotten it.  It just depends on how drained I am from my Fibromylagia (fibromyalgia) at the time I think.  Not exactly sure as to why some years I receive the flu & other years I don't I did have some symptoms this year but my Fibromylagia (fibromyalgia) was acting up worse with my Asthma so I figured the poor air quality had something to do with that to, my doctor still wants me to be execerising to lose weight as I'm a type 2 diabetic & overweight by a bunch, so I had to go walking, it's the only form of exercise I can do easily enough with my walker.  Thus I figured I caught a small bug.

Well that is good that u do not get a bad reaction from it...I know someone that had always gotten sick after getting the shot...I never got it and don't get the flu....so I am praying that streak will continue to work for me : )

I am also overweight....and want to lose, but have a diff time doing  normal exercises.....even walking can be too much at times...I have another condition which I recently had surgery and I am still recouping.

I pray u do not have or get the flu
