GERD and polyps in the Gall Bladder

I have been suffering from gastro intestinal reflux for the last 4-5 months, and am on long term medication. To start with, I have already had Centipro OD for 10 days, along with Nexpro 40 twice a day for two weeks, then Nexpro 40 ince a day for 7 weeks and now, from 22/8/10, I am on Nexpro 20 once a day. The problem is not there 99%, but recently on two occasions I had that same feeling again - acid coming up my throat into my mouth.

Recently I had gone for a complete health check up. The USG showed 'tiny' polyps in the GL. These were not present in Sept 2009 when I had done a similar check up.

Is this serious? What are the steps that I should now take?
