GERD vs. Gallbladder?

Are symptoms of gallstones and GERD very similar?  Is there a certain size that a gallstone would have to get to before it would cause symptoms?

Hi,
No, not all symptoms are similar.
A detailed symptom analysis would help to differentiate the two.
Gallstones can cause symptoms -
1. When they block the cystic duct ( the duct that connects the gallbladder to the common bile duct)
2. When they block the common bile duct
3. When they block the pancreatic duct

The size of the stones that can cause symptoms at these three levels differ.
