GERD

Does GERD cause pain all over the abdominal and chest areas? The pain is kinda hard to explain but It kinda feels like the pain is in a vein or something.  I went to 2 doctors and they both said I had GERD but could it be something more serious?  Because I was 18 years old, they didn't think anything was seriously wrong with me so they didn't want to give me any prescriptions for the pain. Is that weird?

Hi,
GERD does not cause pain all over the abdomen. But it can cause pain over the chest.
In case of doubt a 24 hours pH monitoring may be done to confirm the diagnosis.
