Gallbladder removal and hiatal hernia repair surgery at same time

I am having my gallbladder out (19% functioning) and  hiatal hernia repair done the same day. I am a 57 year old female, non smoker, non drinker, 175 weight. I have had previous ACDF with plate and screws and back surgery 10 years ago. I now have a thyroid lump that is benign in my neck. My question is what will the recovery be like. I looked up the recovery for a gallbladder surgery and recovery for hiatal hernia repair and I think I am in for a lot of pain and weight loss. the weight loss I can take. But the pain I am not looking forward to. I will be home during the day by myself. Would I be able to take care of myself and what will the recovery be like. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
If they are done laparoscopically, recovery would be faster. The hospital stay would be shorter, scar would be minimal and pain may not be for a  long time.

Okay, thanks so much. I was hoping to go home right after but I guess that is not an option. As far as surgeon can see it will be laparoscopically unless they see something else when they go in. So would the hospital stay be one night do you think or longer? I hate the thoughts of even one night. I have ear plugs packed for it tho.
