Gerd acid reflux question

I have a tight lump in the throat feeling and my throat feels raw. Also I have  discomfort that goes down thru my throat, neck into the chest area. I have it 24/7. I do not belch anything up or feel anything coming up into my throat. My question is could this be gerd acid reflux? I did have a endoscopy done in Jan which only showed a irritated stomach. Any info would be helpful

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

It is entirely possible to have gerd/acid reflux with the symptoms u present with.
Not everyone will have all the symptoms most associate with gerd like heart burn, or belching.

I would suggest going back to ur dr and see if ur issues are related to the stomach irritation u had dx in Jan...I would also suggest he/she also do some labs if u haven't had them done in awhile.

Selma is right; I have GERD and many times never feel the symptoms, however sometimes if I forget to take my GERD medicine (Omeprozole) before bedtime, I will wakeup the next morning with a sore throat from the acid reaching that area.  In fact, I had to have 3 granulomas (nodules) removed from my vocal cords back in 2002-2003 timeframe due to reflux damage.  I was lucky that the ENT specialist that removed them was a very skilled doctor, otherwise removing them could have permanantly aftered or damaged my voice.  Each time the granulomas grew, I could feel a lump in my throat that wouldn't go away, plus my voice would get raspy.
