Thank you very much. I have raised my bed and don't eat close to bedtime. Keeping pretty good on my diet. After two days w/o meds and I feel ok so far. Keeping my anxiety down is fairly difficult. I really apprecieate you concern.

I can believe you are frustrated.
I struggled with acid reflux for years, but didn't take it very seriously as during those same years I was fighting some serious cardiac issues. I had a lot of your symptoms, but suddenly my vocal cords were burned and the enamel on my teeth eroded in a New York Minute. Tests showed I had Barrett's Esophagus, and things got serious. You should be applauded for aggressively working to find out what is happening.
It sounds to me that you have a doctor who is trying to understand what is going on with you. Eliminating all drugs and 'natural' health nostrums starts you from scratch and provides the doctor with a baseline of treatment, in my opinion. I know nothing, but it sounds to me like he is trying to sort out whether you have an ulcer or GERD.
You mention that you started two weeks eating healthy foods... perhaps you haven't followed as healthy a diet as you should. Selma is a moderator on this site and gives great advice, raise the head of your bed, don't eat three hours before sleep.
I'm not a health professional, but I'd follow your doctor's advice, it sounds like he/she is trying to find out your problem. Keep us informed.
