Hiatal Hernia and PVC's??

Hiatal Hernia and PVC's??

I usually post on the heart rhythm forum for my PVC's. Just curious what are the symptoms of a Hiatal Hernia. My heart has been checked out fine and they say my PVC's are benign. I know there is a link between the vagus nerve and PVC's. I'm curious if this is what is causing mine. I get a weird lump like feeling in my throat and I have to belch a lot. I also am always taking tums or rolaids. Just curious to know if anyone else gets PVC's from stomach issues.
Thanks!

Hi...can u explain ur PVC's?

I also have a Hiatial Hernia...I was told that it depends on where it is located as to what symptoms it could cause.

I have heart palps  and like a hiccup....that's outside the GERD.

I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and it can cause issues with ur throat , and cause heart palps too.Have u had ur thyroid checked?

U may want to see a gatro dr and get on meds for ur acid issues b4 they do damage.

Tums may work a little while but do not repair damage...u'll need rx'd meds for that.

I hope u keep us updated and if u haven't already please fill out our poll!!  : )

I had some PVC's last summer and they went away. I had it checked out like 3 times and the Dr.'s were not worried about it. I was recently diagnosed with a hiatal hernia as well. There could be a link between that and the vagus nerve. The bad part is that a lot of times they don't know what causes PVCs.
As far as your hiatal hernia, if it's small it could cause no symptoms and you wouldn't even know you had one. My doctor told me a lot of people have it and they find it when scoping them for other reasons. They also told me that a hiatal hernia can most definitely cause GERD. Hope it helps

I have a hiatus hernia, GERD, and numerous digestive problems and PSVT's which are usually triggered by bending or twisting after eating or drinking, and I have proven without a doubt (15 years of suffering) that there is a connection between the hernia / food reflux/ and vagus nerve which is affected by those things - as one Dr put it our stomachs control our bodies!
Hernia symptoms are pain behind the breastbone, shortness of breath, bloated feeling and sometimes acid reflux up into the throat. Also the lump in the throat feeling is to do with indigestion. Lots of Doctors will deny this (cardiologists are the worst) but I have suffered and felt it as you have and know it's true. When I get PSVT's I get the lump in throat feeling too. I  have been taking Tenormin (atenenalol beta blockers) for my PSVT's and after I got used to the side affects which are stomach irritation and slight dizzyness I find they work very well. I resisted for years because of the side affects but after a while they have seemed to more or less stop bothering me. Is this an help? hat do you take for your PSVT and how long do they last?

My PVC's were acting up a lot about a week ago. They've calmed done a bit for now. I'm scheduled for another stress test by my cardio Dr. for some reasurrance even though they said they were benign in the past. As far as my stomach is concerned I stared taking prevacid which seems to be helping with the excess stomach acid. I still burp a lot which I guess means I still have a lot of gas built up in my stomach. You mentioned the lump in the throat feeling as well. For me this is almost a pre cursor type feeling for when my PVC's are gonna act up. I'm not sure why this would cause that weird sensation in my throat.
