High pressure and other pain

My Mom is 56 year old with high blood pressure. Some time she gets diarrhea with high pressure. For diarrhea, she takes either metronidazole or loperamide HCI USP. I was told that metronidazole is a storng medicine which stops diarrhea immediately. It is not recommended for patients with high pressure. So should she need to take lopermide? Are there any diarrhea medicines for high pressure patient?

The place she lives in- there is an oral saline which has 1.3 gram sodium chloride per 10.25 gram. Is this saline recommended for dehydration for high blood pressure people? Are there any salt less oral and IV saline for dehydration for high pressure patient? Could she take pure Glucose instead?

Beside she says she gets her leg swollen if she sits for long time. Is this a sign of kidney problem? Should she need to check serum creatinine and BUN? Does she need to take high pressure medication with diuretics? Very seldom, she gets pain right below her shoulder blades- is this a flank area pain?

She takes Amlodipine once a day. Some time after taking the medicine, she complains about not feeling good. And her pressure remains 145/90. Could she take another Amlodipine?
