Is this Hearburn, HB+GERD, or am i having heart problems?

I have the worst heartburn! pink bismuth is all i have and its not doing anything.I'm 19, in college, and have a pretty weird eating habbit where i usually dont eat breakfast till mid day, and only really get hungry for like 2 small meals a day. I've got a dull akey pain in the middle of my chest. it kina spreads out in a t shape across my chest. i am burping a lot. I have been experiencing symptoms of not being able to get a full breath of air for the past 2 weeks now, and now that i have horrible heart burn those symptoms are very prominent. if i hold my breath the pain goes away, but breathing seems to trigger it. If i take a large breath it hurts the most.

HI..there r other issues like Jangela mentioned, but....u can also have heartburn like symptoms from not eating...oro eating the wrong foods and stress. College life can be stressful as can high school as u try to qualify for college.

I would suggest u look into the possibility that u may also need to eat something for breakfast and even several small meals during the course of  the day...the 2 u have now may be the issue all in itself. Please look at the Health Pages for more info on foods to avoid and lifestyle changes that may be helpful and do make an appointment with w GI dr to know for sure what the root of ur issues may be,

It sounds a lot like my husband's symptoms, and he had big time reflux for years before it was diagnosed with a burned esophagus and major enamel damage to his teeth. Don't let this happen to you! It's very expensive to fix damaged teeth, not to mention possible throat cancer if it continues. After he took Prilosec a few weeks to heal his throat, I started giving him charcoal capsules to soak up the acid causing his heartburn. Everyone I recommend this to has had success with it. Buy it at health food/ vitamin shops. It is cheap and natural. Take it anytime you have heartburn, but don't mix with medications as it will soak up everything in your stomach. The burping is another tell tale sign of GERD. To help with that aspect, aloe vera juice (health food store) is very helpful. It heals your insides and does lots of great things for your overall health, especially if you eat like a typical college student.  Lastly, digestive enzyme capsules with each meal will help further so that the food you do eat doesn't just sit in your stomach all day. I doubt you are having heart problems. My husband thought he was, but it was just the nerves radiating pain outward from his sternum.  You might even feel pain in your back from the same nerves that are all interconnected. Still, you should have a doctor look at your throat to see how bad the damage is. You may or may not need a prescription to heal the damage, but in any case, drink the aloe. It can only help you.
