Is this consistent?

Hi I am a 27 year old male, with some chronic problems. For about one year i have had a spot in my back to the middle from my left shoulder blade that feels like a ball or something is there. not painful so much as it is nagging. The pain does go to other parts of my back, and seems to really hinder my breathing at times. feels like someone is bear hugging me. it gets worse after I eat a big meal, drink alcohol, or the rare occurrence that i smoke a cigar (less than 10 per year). my doctor put me on prilosec twice daily, but has not done much if anything. Does anyone have any idea as to what this could be?

I'm not sure .. but wanted to stop by and say hello.  Not gallbladder at all, right.  GB can manifest between the shoulderblades and from personal exp. it can be very hard to breath.

Hi,...prilosec being a PPI does not work for everyone and is slow to revel results...so u do have to be on it for a while b4 u can see benefits.
Next, if it is a reflux issue, eating large meals, smoking and alcohol are all things to make reflux worse and r suggested to be avoided.
Meals r suggested to be had several times a day making the meal itself smaller,

Lifestyle changes as well as diet modifications will aid the meds to help u feel better.

But as ChitChat suggested, it could be something else such as gall bladder, so do see a GI dr for further testing.
