Hello,
I've been researching magnesium and found it is connected to many health conditions. Magnesium seems to work on acid reflux mainly by relaxing the digestive muscles so acid isn't backing up.
Here is a post I came across on "Healthy Pages" website:
"Hi all, new here Saw some posts about acid reflux and thought I'd make this one to tell people what a great effect magnesium has had on me.
I have been suffering badly from acid reflux. Even had to go to the ER this week due to dehydration. (I have no large intestine.. Acid reflux gives me diarrhea among other things.. ) The nausea and pain prevented me from doing much of anything.. or eating much of anything. I sound like Demi Moore from the throat damage
I started researching natural remedys because I was taking 2 different antacids and one ppi. These drugs work like a miracle for me.. for a week or so .. then they stop.
I read that taking Magnesiumhas helped many people with acid reflux so I thought what the heck, can't hurt.
I've been taking it for 3 days now and my symtoms are almost completely gone. I still get slight twinges of that nasty acid feeling in the back of my throat but it used to be a constant feeling and this is only day 3. No more nausea and no more feeling like a sumo wrestler is sitting on my chest/throat. I even stopped taking the antacids...."
Worth a try. From what I've been reading, the forumla has a lot to do with a person's success with it. The safest and most effective formulas are: Taurate (Taurinate), Citrate (can be laxitative), and Glycinate.
If you have other conditions, like: heart issues, TMJ, muscle tightness/aches, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, irritability, easily stressed, RLS, tremors, twitching, tics, vertigo, sleep trouble, constipation, fatigue, cognitive decline, ADHD, etc.
...it has been connected to such conditions, so give it a try on those, too.
I made a post at the below address about how Magnesium supplementation has helped or cured people of many mental, emotional and physical conditions. Do some research on google, forums found through google, and the magnesium reviews on vitamin websites. There are plenty of success stories. Using a good formula is a big part of the success.
