Nausea and Yellow Stool: GERD or Liver?

Hello all,

A little about myself first:  I am 24, I used to drink somewhat heavily (in college) and have gradually tailed off since then (consuming perhaps 10 drinks per week now, or less).  I also have on/off problems with GERD, mostly "on".

Anyway, I drank alcohol somewhat heavily two weeks ago.  Unlike I've ever felt before, I was struck with waves of mild/moderate nausea for the entire next day, and the day after that.  Again, this was unlike any hangover I've experience before (where, usually, violent nausea would gradually subside as the day went on); nausea was not really present in the morning, and came in waves of 20-30 minutes evenly throughout the day.  Eating food felt as if it had duel effects of soothing the nausea and also making it worse (sorry if that doesn't make more sense).  I thought for sure that I had a mild flu or something.

I drank again, much more heavily than I am used to (10 drinks in one day), a week after that.  The same thing happened... intermittent nausea, except that I felt mild waves of nausea a full two days after drinking this time.  I also noticed that my stool was yellow on the 2nd and 3rd days after drinking.  GERD was noticeably terrible on the 2nd and 3rd day as well.  Yellow stool has always happened to me occasionally, but I'm sorry to say that I dont know if this always occurred after drinking, or when GERD was particularly bad.

I had been on a course of Zegerid for a month, one month ago.  I am trying to determine if my nausea and stool are due to liver damage // bile duct issues, and I should therefore abstain from all alcohol and rush myself to get liver enzymes checked, or if the inordinate amount of alcohol simply aggravated my GERD and that I should resume Zegerid.
