Need some Advice

Hi my son has had acid reflux since he was one day old and he is 8 now and he gets an endoscopy and biopsyevery year too. He is allergic to milk wheat and eggs. His esophagus is very bad the doctor said Alot of inflammation and he has ulcers too up to 49 eosinophils per high power field and they are always high every year he gets an endoscoopy.  He is on nexium 60 mg a day and flovent for it.  He has pain everyday cause of it and his doctor wants to but him on special milk and he would have to put him on a feeding tube or put him on these steriods that have alot of side efficts.  I'm just scared to put him threw that but i want him to get better.  Can you give me some advice?? Please

Your son is probably suffering from eosinophilic esophagitis.
This is a new entity on which a lot of research is going on.
Most of the medical treatment are yet to be approved by FDA.
Diet modification, steroids, mast cell inhibitors, antihistamines, leukotriene receptor antagonist, esophageal dilatation and sugery are some of the treatment options available.
You can discuss with your gastroenterologist regarding these options.
