Nervous about upcoming EGD

I am having an EGD next week and I am very nervous. I have constant post nasal drip and have problems clearing my throat all the time. I have a crowded airway/high palate and am wondering how the tube going down your throat doesn't cut off your oxygen. Can you explain????

Hi,
EGD is a very short procedure which will be over within minutes.
If you have stuffy nose then you can instil saline drops to clear it.
Throughout the procedure your mouth would remain open and you could breathe through your mouth and so the procedure wont cut off your oxygen even if your nose is stuffy or the airway is narrowed.
