Nexium to Prilosec

Nexium to Prilosec

I just learned that my company will switching health plans and my normal $40 nexium prescription will be almost $150.  I have heard that prilosec is quite similar. I am taking 20mg of nexium once a day presently. First question is can I substitute the prilosec for the nexium and second question is what would be appropriate dose to match the 20mg of Nexium. Also can I switch cold turkey or do I need to taper off of the nexium.  Thanks
