Next steps/tests for GERD problem

I have various neurologic/pain symptoms that began ~ 1 year ago (shown below). Blood work is basically normal, but I have possible dx of viral, bacterial infection or chronic migraine. I think that my stomach pain is related to all of this. Anyway….

6 months ago I suddenly began having stomach pains that I never had ever before.  I tested Barium swallow and Endoscopy, which were perfectly normal.

Since July, the GI Dr. put me on Prilosec 40mg/day and Reglan 2 pills/day which may provide ~ 50% relief, but the symptoms are still very uncomfortable. Symptoms throughout the day are typically:

Morning: I have a growling/burpy stomach.
After lunch: my stomach feels calm for couple hours and gradually feels worse
After dinner: stomach feels calm for few hours and dull pain or gassy feeling returns near bed time
Sleeping: growling stomach

Sometimes the pain moves from center of my stomach upwards to a dull pain (not gassy in that case).

Not sure where to go from here. Am I on the right medication and what tests are appropriate?
Thx

p.s. I am doing all of the recommended things to mitigate GERD (e.g., avoid bad foods, etc.). I’m also taking 1500mg/day of Neurontin, but I don’t think it is a side effect.

Key Neurologic Symptoms:
Sore/burning Butt (6/07 to present, gradually worsened and stabilized)
Cognitive Impairment: brain fog, clumsy/balance (2/08 to present)
Peripheral Neuropathy  burning/pain/numb/tingling, etc. (3/08 to present)
Visual Snow (4/08 to present)
Tinnitis chronic (5/08 to present)

Have you been tested for celiac disease...which is an intolerance to gluten.....your mention of brain fog and stomach issues are sometimes listed as symptoms...what about bowel issues?  do you have diarrhea or constipation?  Maybe you have a food intolerance or allergy - according to celiac forums....many were diagnosed with acid reflux initially......there is a celiac test....if you get this done, make sure that you keep eating gluten before it is done.......in the interim....maybe try the elimination diet?  Can look this up on the internet.....keep a food diary everyday for a month...list all the food that you eat or drink and note any symptoms - when I tried to go gluten free initally - I ate white rice, corn and chicken for about two weeks.....fresh fruits and veg...are also good choices.....check it out....also check out a naturopath who may give you some things to heal up your stomach trama.....good luck

Hi,
Testing for H.pylori infection would be ideal. If it turns out to be positive, it has to be treated for with appropriate medications for about 2 weeks.
