One of the complaints was upper back pain

by asagrace, Oct 13, 2009 05:58PM
One of the complaints asked if hiatal hernia could cause upper back pain.  I have never had it but my aunt had surgery to correct a hernia and immediately after the surgery, she said her back hurt in the very spot just behind that hernia so badly she could hardly stand it. Sounds to me like it could cause back pain.

This discussion is related to hiatal hernia PVC's.

It is also possible the pain was only related to the surgery for the hernia......I have a hiatal hernia and do not get back pain.....this might make a good poll to see how many actually get back pain and have a hernia.....all prior to surgery of course.....and then we will look at after surgery too!!

it certanily makes me wonder...thanks!
