PROTONIX ACID REFLUX DANGEROUS SIDE EFFECT VISION CHANGES DESCRIPTION??? PLEAS HELP IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING!!!

I posted this on yahoo answers and copied it to post on here hoping for any help at all...(sorry for any misspellings) (also my other question I posted on here goes into a deeper explanation about my vision problems and what I thought caused it before realizing this, if you want to go look or need more info about that)
I have been taking protonix a dangerous PPI pill, for my horrid acid reflux, for years. I recently learned that this pill was so dangerous. and I have been having issues with my vision that idk what to do about or what is causing it, it has been there messed up for severl years also, its like a haze over my eyes, Im 19, and also have floaters, and MY QUESTION IS, can anyone describe to me the side effect vision problems from taking this med? cause I want to know if this is what caused it or not, but googling around I cant find a description about what happens with the vision as a side effect, only that it can cause VISION CHANGES. IDK WHAT THE VISION CHANGES ARE OR MEAN, I want to know if it could be like what happened with my eyes that no one can figure out. heres some additional info about my acid reflux and whats been going on that I posted in ANOTHER question wanting to know if there are any natural cures... ::::

okay, so ive had acid relux since I was little, and now its sooo bad. it feels like my hwole stomach is filled up with acid, I do not get heartburn, I just have really bad over acid in my stomach. and these past few months its soo bad every day, I take this prescription med that use to work, but now ti doesnt. and Im sooo done with taking unnatural types of med. I have tried apple cider vinigar to cure this, bc it was suposed to cure this, but it only made it worse each time I would drink it, and I kept that up, and it did nothing. I drink aloe vera juice to sooth my insides from my acid reflux and bc I have an ulcer. I have had an ulcer for a month and it dont seem to be healing bc I have so much acid in my stomach all the time. I do not want to take dangerous un natural meds or over the ocunter things like rolaids and I have tried all the over counter meds in the past and that didnt help. my doctor only wants to get money so she offers me the msot expensive dangerous med out there it seems. Im at a loss on how to deal with this. can anyone out there help me, or give me advice on how to make it better, or even cure it, idk how I even got it in the first place, since I was little ive had it. and it will prob be a lifetime things for me. I just am afraid that my ulcer wont ever heal bc of my acid in my stomach. I am 19 years old. how do I fix this???? thanks for your help.

Protonix and vision problems?  Rolaids dangerous? Hmmm....never heard of that.  I have GERD and a Hiatal Hernia and I have taken Protonix in the past without any problems.  Protonix is no "dangerous" drug and I am saying that from a professional and personal view, however, PPIs CAN not WILL alter the absorption of certain vitamins, i.e. B12.  

I would recommend you consult an Ophthalmologist about your vision issues.  

No "natural med" per se or "home remedy" is going to "heal" your ulcer/reflux.  You NEED a medication just like you have been prescribed.  Plus, you need to do what your physician has ADVISED.  I can tell you most of the PPIs/GI meds are NOT CHEAP and have nothing to do with your physician trying to "pocket" extra money for herself.  You are going to be the one suffering not her in the end.  This is NOTHING to "toy" around with.  

As the above poster stated, you shouldn't be seeking a "cure" for this over the internet and NOT doing what was recommended by an "actual" physician

I am calm? anxiety, no, Im just trying to find out answers here. I know they wont make you go blind, but I have vision issues, like a haze over my vision thats been there for a couple years, and I just found that one of the side affect to protonix PPI was vision changes, which I coudnt find a descritoiion of what happens, so I need to find out what kind o vision changes happen in that side affect, so I can see if it matches wahts wrong with my eyes.

I'd start by getting anxiety help that you trust, and re-posting your concerns after you calm down.  Perhaps others can understand what you are posting, but you are addressing so many issues, I can't sort out your concerns.
  
PPI's won't make you go blind, they really aren't dangerous.  They tend to become ineffective over time, and will blunt the effect of some cholesterol drugs, but certainly they won't hurt your eyes. If I read your post correctly, you have an ulcer.  I suggest you try to focus in on what your doctor is suggesting to find a way to heal it, and don't go to the internet for a cure.  

Take a deep breath, calm down a bit, talk to your doctor, and let us know how you are doing.
