Please help. Still vomiting bile after gallbladder surgery.

My 18 year old daughter (senior in high school) started having stomach pain July 2008. After a series of trips to different doctors over 2 months finally found out cause was gallbladder not functioning properly.  A Hidascan showed gallbladder functioning at 15%. She had her gall bladder removed 10-2-08.  Since surgery: every 2 weeks her upper stomach starts hurting. the pain increases over 2 days until she finally vomits a large amount of bile and then feels great.  this has continued every 2 weeks like clock work.  Her surgeon said this excessive bile should stop over time and prescribed questran light powder (binds with bile) and prilosec daily. she has taken this medicine now for 2 weeks and the stomach pain has returned.  The medicine has done nothing so far to relieve her symptoms.  What could be the problem? What tests do I need to ask for now?  We see our surgeon again on Monday. 12-8-08.  As a mom I feel so helpless.  She has missed so much school, as well as all her school activities.  She is the high school drum major and class president.  Is there any surgery that could fix this problem or since her gallbladder is already out is it a matter of just finding the right medicine to control the pain and excessive bile?

Hi,
There is no need for any surgery.
This will resolve over a period of time.
Till then she can continue taking Questran and Prilosec.
