Reflux 5yrs after Fundoplication

Hi there, I was diagnosed with reflux in 2000 (I was 12.) After years of taking medication that didn't help I had a Nissens fundoplication in 2004 (When I was 16). Until 2 months ago, I was symptom free, the only issue I had had since the op was I would pass out when I vomitted, and only truly vomitted a few times. 2 months ago I got a vomitting bug, and threw up 3 times. Two weeks after that I started getting reflux symptoms again. One week after the reflux symptoms recurred I had a severe asthma attack and the ER doctor told me to go back to my Gastroenterologist, and my GP prescribed me Nexium 40mg to take until then. I have been on the Nexium for 5 weeks and have had 1 day without reflux in this whole time. Is it normal for my reflux symtoms (symptoms) to suddenly recur 6 years down the track> Could I have undone the stitching when throwing up? Am I likely to need another fundoplication? I just want some relief again from the reflux!
