Reflux Cough

I'm waiting for Protonix to work to control my reflux. After reading several other comments I realize I may need to be very patient (4 or more weeks).  In the mean time is there anything else that I could take to treat the cough?  It would be helpful to me as well as my family and coworkers.

Cough could be due to various causes. If you are diagnosed with cough due to reflux, there are two options to control cough.

If the reflux has been for a long time, your airways would have become hyperreactive producing asthma like symptoms  and cough is one of the symptoms. In this case, a bronchodilator may be helpful.

If your reflux is only of recent onset, treating reflux with PPI alone is enough to control cough
