Reflux and alcohol

Hi,

Since the last couple of years I've had lots of problems with my digestion (constipation, bloating, pain, ibs). A couple of month ago the doctor diagnosed acid reflux, because I was feeling a bitter taste in my mouth, I have chest pain (which I have had for years), etc. Lately after drinking alcohol I get days or even weeks of bad headaches, nausea, feeling like I'll vomit (but never actually vomiting), etc...  I think I have some sort of intolerance of alcohol. Sometimes I drink just a zip and I feel nauseous or dizzy. For example, last week I had two glasses of wine on Wednesday and two glasses on Thursday and days after I still have a bad headache, nausea, etc... Might this all me related to reflux? Is it possible that because of the reflux, days after drinking alcohol I feel like this? Or might this be related to something else? Like some liver problem, por example?

I'd really appreciate any info!

Hi Monica...alcohol is on the list of things to avoid when u r dx with gerd/acid reflux.

Only ur dr can say what ur root issues r.....Please see the Health Pages here on Medhelp for foods to avoid and lifestyle changes that in addition to meds can help if u truly do have gerd.
