Severe epigastric pain and mid back pain

I have been diagnosed with untreated GERD and I am on generic omeprazole and have been taking it daily. Had some relief until last night. I wasn't feeling well, laid down and took a nap. When waking I had severe epigastric pain, mid back pain and abdominal pain extending straight down to the pubic area. It was hard to breath and move. This morning I woke up and was doing better. Now I am starting to have the same pain again. Does this sound like GERDs????? Or would you suggest that I look at something else????

Welcome to JustAnswer!
This could be due to petic ulcer or pancreatitis.
An upper GI endoscopy may be done to rule out ulcer.
Serum amylase test and Ultrasound scan or CT scan may be done to rule out pancreatitis.
The description of pain does not fit GERD.
