Side Effects of Fundoplication

Hi!  I have been doing a lot of reading about fundo surgery.  I haven't seen too many bad side effects except that it's possible that it may slip and have to be redone.  What do you do if you get the flu and would normally be throwing up, but you can't because of the fundoplication?  Am I missing some other side effects that are common after you have this surgery?  Can you still eat normally after everything is healed (after the surgery)?  Can I still work out?  I usually lift weights.  Would this be a surgery that would affect my being able to continue to do this?
