Side effects of Kapidex

I've been on Kapidex for about 6 weeks and constantly have headaches.  If I skip a dose, no headache.  A co-worker who started taking it a few weeks ago is experiencing headaches, as well.

Is there another similar medicaton that has fewer side effects?

This med is a PPI- a proton pump inhibator...there r many other PPI's u may try...any time u have a side effect from a Med u should call ur dr ASAP.....u may also want to try a H2 blocker instead of the PPI's if u continue to have a reaction from them.

Kapidex side effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction to Kapidex: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

chest pain, fast or pounding heartbeats;

severe stomach pain; or

worsening heartburn.

Less serious Kapidex side effects may include:

nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, gas;

diarrhea; or

stuffy nose, sneezing, or other cold symptoms.

Drug interactions-

Before taking Kapidex, tell your doctor if you are using any of the following drugs:

ampicillin (Omnipen, Principen);

atazanavir (Reyataz);

clopidogrel (Plavix);

digoxin (Lanoxin, Lanoxicaps);

ketoconazole (Nizoral);

a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin); or

iron (Feosol, Mol-Iron, Fergon, Femiron, others).
