Side soreness next to rib cage

I was diagnosed with gerd a few months ago and have been doing ok, still eating what I want but something some food doesn't agree with my stomach. Althought today I have had soreness on my right side of my rib cage. Can this be gas or bloated? Or can it be appendix or something else I should worry about? I tend to stress about things happening to me because this past year I've been through a lot with my health after I had my son. Also had my gallbladder removed in August due to gallstone and had a stent inside because some stones wre stuck in the bile duct. So my overall question is should I be worried about this tough soreness I have on my side rib?

If you develop a fever or the pain increases, I'd suggest that you contact your doctor immediately.  Stents can plug up.  After experiencing some serious problems in the gastrointestinal areas, I've been warned to never ignore constant and increasing pain in that area.
Keep us informed.

Hi, I would not worry, but I would mention it to ur Dr at ur next visit, it could be a muscle strain or something like that....but it is worth asking about.

Good luck and do let us know what u find out : )
