I have had some digestive issues, but lately I have a terrible smothering sensation when I'm trying to go to sleep. It feels like my throat is closing or being squeezed. I do also have some anxiety, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has this. It is getting very bad and wakes me up like 20 times every night. Can this be GERD or sleep apnea? I have not seen a doctor yet, but I need to know which type of doctor to see. Any advice?
