Solution to bad breath

After 40+ years suffering from SEVERE/KILLER bad breath, I finally came to terms with my problem.
My experience shows you need to persevere, research the web for other people's experiences and be attemptive to how YOUR body responds to each new approach you try.

My journey started many years ago, way before the web was available. I started treating GERD by eliminating:
1) acidic food/drinks
2) alcohol
3) fat / fried food
4) (I dont smoke)

I also:
5) exercised daily
6) inclined my bed by lifting it's head with 2 thick phone books on each side
7) took bifidus & acidophilus (probiotics) 1 x day
8) flossed and gargled (therabreath) a couple times a day

All the above still ensure a VERY healthy life style which is great (i look good lol), but bad breath was still there.
After being embarrassed publicly by someone making a comment on my BB on a 'microphone' (may he burn in hell), I decided I had no choice but to either kill myself (not an option really) or to keep on looking for a solution and win that battle. I revisited my doctors (allergist, ear-nose, gastro) but they not only said I was healthy but had no BB. I dont honestly know why doctors do that, but i only wish they were right and all the embarassing situations i lived were a bad dream.

Anyways, in this process the allergist enphasized the importance of emptying my stomach before going to bed. The idea was to STOP eating or drinking 3 hours before bed. I started doing that (was so hard) and guess what: IT WORKED. The first immediate change was a dramatic reduction in mucus production in the morning, then the quality of my breath and finally people not showing reactions towards my breath.

I am very happy I perseveared and I wanted to share my success with everyone who is out there in dispair. Please note that unfortunatelly, what worked for me may not work for you, that's why you need to keep searching and listening to your body.

Best of luck!

Hi ...I am so glad u figured out how to manage ur problem. With GERD and acid reflux issues we reccommend no eating 3 to 4 hours prior to lying down along with some of the other things u have done...elevate the head of the bed...avoid greesy and fatty foods, spicey foods..... smoking, alcohol...ect.....

U r proff that changing ur lifestyle along with meds and diet can bring about positive results.
