Stomach spasms & pain when hungry..HELP!

by owee, Oct 29, 2009 03:08AM
Hi
I have had stomach spasms in my right side just below my ribs for nearly two years now. I have tried numerous doctors, specialists and alternative medication but the spasms still occur.
I have had an MRI scan and was told that I do not deal with stress properly and had to see a hypnotherapist. I did this for a few months, and it would help for a few days but then came back.
I now have extreme pain when It is meal times, even if I am not hungry,my stomach will ache so much and if I don't eat in time the pain will continue for over an hour, causing my back to also hurt a lot and it results in me not being able to speak properly because of the pain.  I am on acid reflux drops which i take before meals, but it does not always help.  I am studying at the moment and it doesnt always suit me to eat whenever my stomach starts getting sore....
I'm desperate for answers, do i have to live like this forever? Can i change my diet or something??
Help would be greatly apreciated!!!

Hi,
I suggest that you have upper GI endoscopy done to rule out peptic ulcer disease.
Take prilosec for relief.
