dear  sr i had serious throat problem for 6 weeks doctors says its GERD does it takes really 6 weeks and still i feel lump in throat i cannto eat this medcines and i could nt able to find any cure

Hi,
You have to take medications for about 8 weeks for relief.
But since you are not finding any relief in spite of taking medication for 6 weeks other factors should be looked in to.
I presume you are taking PPI medication.

1. Make sure you take it empty stomach.
2. If once daily dose is not effective take it twice daily
3. Follow all the lifestyle changes that your doctor advised.
4. If still no relief evaluation with 24 hours pH monitoring test should be done.
