What stomach condition do i have?

I have pain in my upper addomen centered in the brest bone that radiates out. There is also pain in my back at the very same spot as in the front. Ihave had a cold for three weeks and i have been coughing a lot, now this has started. Nothing is relieving the pain and i am experiencing it from the time i wake up until i fall asleep at night. Throwing up sometimes helps and is usually the only way to get the pain to dull down enough for me to be able to fall asleep. I cannot lay down while experiencing this, i feel as though i cannot breathe. What can be causing this? I'm 17, female, not pregnant, i have been told by a doctor that i had acid reflux and was put on rantidine. The first time this ever occured the medicine stopped the symtoms (symptoms) and i got better, i stopped taking it except for when i needed it, and its no longer working anymore. What will help? I have the pain whether i eat or not and i feel extremely nauseous, it gets worse when i eat or drink something.

I am not a medical pro, but it sounds like acid reflux and a possible ulcer to me.  Do you ever have the sensation of "dripping" in your stomach?
Do you drink any carbonated drinks or orange juice on a regular basis? If so...STOP. Try a bland diet...nothing spicey or greasy. Search the web for "bland diet for ulcers".
PLEASE don't make yourself vomit. That will result in erosion of your esophagus...and you think your stomach feels bad now...erosion is MUCH more serious. Stomach acids are extremely potent and meant to assist in DISSOLVING your food. Imagine that acid in your throat...ouch.
Perhaps you should see your doctor and try another prescription. Most RX's are meant to be taken regularly and will help in healing your stomach lining, but you have to maintain a healthy diet, as well.
