acid reflux

I had acid reflux about a month and a half ago. I went to the doctor, because my throat kept hurting and burning, even though I didnt have reflux anymore. the doctor told me to take clariton at night and prilosec in the morning. I have taken both for 4 days and have no more symptoms now. I also stopped eating and drinking the things that would give me heartburn. Also stopped eating right before bedtime. I'd like to know if I should still take clariton and prilosec at this point? I was taking 20mg. prilosec and 10 mg. of clariton.
