Totally agree with Flycaster. It is BEST to have an endoscopy and other pertinent testing done in this situation.
Hietal Hernia issues generally, in my experience, generate discomfort above the stomach. If it continues, I'd urge you to have first an Endoscopy exam, and possibly a Manometry exam. The Endoscopy is the gold standard to determine problems of the Esophagus, the Manometry test determines how your 'swallow' reflex is working. I'm a big believer after two serious stomach/esophagus problems that required surgery and numerous heart procedures/surgeries that gut and chest pain should be investigated by the best tests available so one can cut to the chase as soon as possible if a problem does exist.
it could be a hiatal hernia.
I was having some digestive difficulties - on-going [ off & on ] for many months - they were : belching, bloating, heartburn, sensitivity at the waist, intestinal gas, hiccups, difficulty in swallowing capsules, overall fatigue, full feeling at base of throat, pain or burning in upper chest, pressure in the chest, pain in the left
side of chest. sometimes i would have all of the symptoms i just listed and sometimes only one or two. some
days i would feel pretty much ok.
i read about hiatal hernia and I tried the self-massage technique described here and felt immediately better.
I had to do it more than once over a period of time and I had my masseuse do it to me 3 times in 3 months.
I also did the water in the stomach technique described in the youtube video.
