Hi, i've been having heart burn and a lot of burping for a good 8 months now, mostly happens at night when i'm lying down, and sometimes results in me throwing up. i'm 20 years old, I smoke most days and drink on occasion. My diet isn't very balanced, as in I often miss meals all day and then binge at night (so i wouldn't call myself healthy).
i know i'm living quite an unhealthy lifestyle and it may literally be all because of that, so i am changing my diet etc, but if anyone has any idea what is wrong with me or what i can do to lessen the achey heartburn i get, that would be great. thank you!
Well, u already stated what is wrong...ur diet, ur lifestyle...u smoke, u do not eat correctly...this all plays a role in how u feel, and to feel better u have to make changes.....
As u change ur Diet try to eat 4 to 5 small meals a day, do not skip meals or binge in the evening...do not lay down for 3 to 4 hrs after eating and then have ur bed elevated to have gravity help keep the acids down where they belong.
Avoid foods and bevs that will trigger a flare...alcohol,carbonated bevs and caffeine.....spicy, greasy, acidic foods...
