i burp quite a bit after i eat and i don't eat big meals. i am not sure why i need to burp. soda of course makes me belch but when i am just drinking water i belch as well. i am also swallowing a lot during the day.

Thank you for replying and pardon me for this much delayed reply. I don't really have a problem with burpring/belching. I was just curious why others do it a lot and I don't.

Hi and welcome to the GERD forum.

Not at all....we all do not have a need to burp or belch after a meal, unless u over eat or are ill this does not need to be a normal activity.

Do u have a need and can't?...then u may feel worse if u do not ...but other wise I do not know why this would be an issue?
