constant chest pain from gerd

About a month ago i felt some chest pain in the center of my chest.  I'm 37 years old, 5'10", and 150 pounds.  I have no health problems.  The first initial chest pain woke me up in the middle of the night.  My chest felt sore for about two days and so I went to the ER.  The ER doctor ran cardiac blood test, chest x-rays, ekg or ecg, had me hooked to the heart monitor for 3 hours, and the doctor listened to my heart and lungs. He said everything was good.  I went to my family doctor a week later.  He listened to my heart and lungs and he said I had no heart murmurs and my ER test looked good.  He put me on prilosec.  My symptoms are pain and burning in the stomach, chest pain that moves to the right- side, left- side, and center of my chest.  Its not a severe pain in the chest and i can point to where the pain is in my chest. I have trouble swallowing and it feels like saliva is stuck at the top of my throat sometimes. and nausea sometimes after eating.  Are these symptoms common symptoms for GERD?

Hi,
Yes, your symptoms indicate GERD.
24 hours pH monitoring test may be done for confirmation.
Continue taking prilosec for relief.
