cronic pain

I have acid reflux that permiates into my back. I had a scope & was told I have "barretts ". The doctor has prescribed different meds, but nothing seems to help. My Mother died from pancerous canser, when for a long while they thought it was her gall bladder. I go the the VA and its not easy to get the doctors to seend you to a speacialist...should I insist?? I am often so sick with the buring in my chest & the pain in my back that I get nausea & diareahia.

Hi always insist on seeing a specialist when u have a family history that may put u at risk.

Are u following a diet for gerd?...made lifestyle changes?....do u take a PPI or a H2blocker?

Not all meds work fdor everyone so u may have to adjust them until u find one that works, but if u have not adjusted ur lifestyle and diet just doing that may aid the meds to help u feel better.

DO u also get bloated with the back pain?....do u have bowel issues?
